Direct Pass Receiver Control is an extension of the Direct Pass function and in essence a replacement for Off-Ball Control, introduced in NBA Live 10. It is executed by pressing and holding the Direct Pass button (Left Trigger on Xbox 360, L2 on Playstation 3) and then pressing the button corresponding to the player the user wishes to control while continuing to hold the Direct Pass button. The user will then switch control to the desired player and is free to move them around and into a better position to receive the pass. The user then releases the Direct Pass button to execute the pass to the player they are now controlling.
