Dynasty Scenarios
Dynasty Scenarios are an extension of Simulation Intervention which allow users to jump in at key moments late in the game. They were introduced in the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of NBA Live 08, which revamped simulation to occur play-by-play rather than quarter-by-quarter. Users are prompted to intervene in certain special situations, such as in a close game within the final couple of minutes or when a certain player is about to achieve a statistical milestone, such as a triple double. The user may choose to ignore the prompt and keep simming or disable Dynasty Scenarios altogether.
The PC and PS2 versions of NBA Live 08 also include Dynasty Scenarios but in a much more limited fashion. Since those versions of the game retain the quarter-by-quarter simulation method, Dynasty Scenario prompts will occasionally pop up when the game is simulating the fourth quarter or overtime.
