The NBA 2K series is a series of NBA video games and is the main rival of the NBA Live series. It was initially exclusive to the Sega Dreamcast but has since been released for a wide range of platforms including the GameCube, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Xbox, Xbox 360 and beginning with NBA 2K9, PC DVD-ROM. NBA 2K games are developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, a label created by Take-Two.
