NBA 2K (collectively known as the NBA 2K series and often shortened to simply 2K) is a series of NBA video games and is the main rival of the NBA Live series. It was initially exclusive to the Sega Dreamcast but has since been released for a wide range of platforms including the GameCube, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox, Xbox 360 and beginning with NBA 2K9, PC DVD-ROM. NBA 2K games are developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, a label created by Take-Two.
