NBA 2K26 is an upcoming NBA basketball simulation video game by 2K Sports. It will be the twenty-seventh instalment of the NBA 2K series, and is slated for release on September 5th, 2025. NBA 2K26 will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. It will be a direct sequel to NBA 2K25, and will be followed by NBA 2K27. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander appears on the Standard Edition cover, while Carmelo Anthony is the Superstar Edition cover player and Angel Reese graces the WNBA Edition cover. All three players are featured on the premium Leave No Doubt Edition.

NBA 2K26 will be a sim-oriented basketball video game, retaining staple modes and gameplay features.
Cover Player
On July 8th 2025, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the newly-crowned champion Oklahoma City Thunder was revealed as the cover player for NBA 2K25. On July 9th, Carmelo Anthony was revealed as the cover player for the Superstar Edition, while Angel Reese was revealed as the cover player of the WNBA Edition. All three players appear on the cover of the premium Leave No Doubt Edition of NBA 2K26.
