NBA 2K27 is an upcoming NBA basketball simulation video game by 2K Sports. It will be the twenty-eighth instalment of the NBA 2K series, and is slated for release on September 4th, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. It will be a direct sequel to NBA 2K26, and will be followed by NBA 2K28.
Pre-order information on July 22nd 2026 confirmed that NBA 2K27 will not be released for Gen 8 consoles, finally ending the series' run on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

NBA 2K27 will be a sim-oriented basketball video game, retaining staple modes and gameplay features.
Cover Players[edit]
On July 22nd 2026, the cover players were revealed. Victor Wembanyama appears on the Standard Edition cover, Caitlin Clark is the cover player for the Deluxe Edition, and the retired Derrick Rose is the face of the premium Ultra Edition cover. Only the Standard Edition will be available in physical form, with the Deluxe and Ultra Editions both being digital-only.
