NBA Elite 11 is currently scheduled for a release in North America in October 2010.

Will NBA Elite 11 be available for the PC?

At this point, it appears NBA Elite 11 will only be released for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Why wouldn't NBA Elite 11 be released for the PC?

EA Sports have previously cited "serious business challenges" as the reason many of its prominent titles are currently not being released for the PC. The current speculation is that a combination of the increase in piracy, decrease in sales and competition in the console market has firmly established consoles as EA Sports' platform of choice.

Will NBA Elite ever come to the PC?

As of March 2024, it is unknown if EA will ever release another NBA game on the PC platform. EA's Third Quarter Fiscal Year 2010 Report indicates that EA will only be producing NBA games for consoles.

Will Legends be in the game?

Producer blogs for NBA Live 10 have hinted at Legends in future games and Legends were including in the iPhone/iTouch version of NBA Live 10, however the debut of Legends for the Xbox 360/Playstation 3 version remains unconfirmed at this time. The presence of Legends depends largely on likeness rights; if EA Sports can license the use of legendary players' likenesses, they will likely return at some point. It should be noted that at least two legends - Magic Johnson and Larry Bird - will be featured as bosses in EA Sports NBA Jam.

Will I have to pay for NBA Live 365?

Although unconfirmed as of March 2024, it seems likely that NBA Live 365 will be provided free of charge in all new copies of the game, courtesy of T-Mobile or another sponsor, while second-hand copies will require the user to purchase a subscription from the Xbox Live Marketplace or Playstation Store if they wish to get the Dynamic DNA updates.

Will I have to pay to play online?

NBA Elite 11 will make use of EA Sports Online Pass, which required a valid activation code. If you purchase the game new, you will receive a complimentary code and will not have to pay any fees to play online (excluding Xbox Live fees for Xbox 360 users). If you purchase the game second hand and the Online Pass activation code has already been used by the original owner, you will need to purchase an activation code at a cost of $10/800 Microsoft points.

Is NBA Elite 11 taking the place of NBA Live 11?

Yes, EA Sports has re-branded their basketball franchise from NBA Live to NBA Elite. NBA Elite 11 traces its lineage back to the NBA Live series, is a direct sequel to NBA Live 10 and was originally referred to as NBA Live 11 in producer blogs, but will be the first game released under the new NBA Elite brand.

Will presentation be different in NBA Elite 11?

Yes, NBA Elite 11 will be making greater use of the ESPN license to replicate an NBA television broadcast. It will also feature a new three man commentary team of Mike Breen, Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson.
