NBA Jam: On Fire Edition (stylised as NBA JAM: On Fire Edition) is an upcoming basketball video game by EA Sports, scheduled for release in October 2011. It will be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 via digital download in the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network Store. The game is a sequel to the reboot of NBA Jam by EA Sports and will contain new elements such as online roster updates and enhanced AI, borrowed from EA's Fight Night series of boxing games.
Announcement
The game was officially announced on April 5th 2011, in a press released which also confirmed the release of EA's next NBA sim title in the Fall of 2012. It will be the first game in the series to be available exclusively via digital download and is scheduled for release in October 2011. The press release also featured a preliminary features list, touting some of the new features that are planned for the game.

- Enhanced Gameplay: In addition to vast improvements to the core experience and more variety across the board, NBA JAM: On Fire Edition will include a Tag Mode, Team Fire and Razzle Dazzle. Check back for more info to come!
- REAL AI: Using the groundbreaking AI systems from the Fight Night series, NBA JAM: On Fire Edition will feature more organic play giving gamers a less robotic and more real gameplay experience. Check back for more info to come!
- Improved Online: Jump online and take a Road Trip, the solo and co-op campaign modes that take the online experience to a new level. Or, play JAM Now – the Play Now mode for up to four players. Check back for more info to come!
- Moving On Up: Earn Experience Points (XP) and JAM Bucks by completing JAM Challenges and awards. Spend your JAM Bucks in the JAM Store to unlock loads of unlockables. Check back for more info to come!
- Rosters: NBA JAM: On Fire Edition will contain over 125 current NBA superstars, nearly 50 NBA legends, 27 mascots and a host of secret teams! Check back for more info to come!
