This is a list of official patches (also referred to as title updates) that have been released for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S version of NBA The Run, along with their release notes. The most recent patch was released on July 21st, 2026.

- 3 New Rookies added to the game – AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson & Cameron Boozer
- Stats & Attributes added and tuned for all 3 Rookies
- In the Zone abilities added to all 3 Rookies
- Unique jumpshot, dunk and advanced trick L / R for AJ Dybantsa
- Unique jumpshot, dunk and advanced trick forward for Cameron Boozer
- Unique jumpshot, trick back and advanced trick L / R for Darryn Peterson
- Unlockable jerseys / outfits for all 3 Rookies
- Added Darryn Peterson’s post-draft sleeve tattoo

- “Block Party” Ruleset – All blocks -1 from the other team’s score, first to 15 (can not go into negative points), set to Common rarity
- Oop City and Dunkfest Rulesets now set to Rare
- Old School Ruleset now set to Win by 2 condition
- Overhaul of AI and improved behavior across Offense and Defense
- Off the Heezay has been tuned to be possible at a more generous distance and angle
- Off the Heezay stun time has been extended to make it a more powerful counter to blocks
- Steal reach range, speed and angle have been reduced slightly to make steals more difficult
- Turned rim friction and bounce speed to reduce high bounces
- Tuned Good shot out come percentages
- Tuned Good shot rim outcomes
- Tuned Good shot off the backboard settings to greatly reduce the ball appearing to go through the side of the net and rim
- Extended near intercept range to reduce rewarding spamming steals
- Extended stun time for OTH
- Increased rim outcomes for good shots
- ITZ Ability tuning:
- Reduced Block boost in Paint Patrol
- Increased passive guard distance for The Shadow
- Slight increase to movement speed in Amped up and Rocket Man
- Improved Jalen Brunson’s attributes to make him the first “4 Crown” player
- Bug fixes, polish, gameplay tuning & balancing
- New unique jumpshot, advanced trick back, forward & left / right for Kyrie Irving
- Polished Wembanyama’s enhanced block animation
- New jumpshot animation for Damian Lillard
- Multiple new alley oop animations
- New putback dunk animations
- Fixed root displacement issues on certain players
- Updated French localization
- Fixed issue w/ performance bonus not registering for CRED in KO Solos
- General fixes to KO Friends flow
- Perfect shot rim fire sounds
- Adjustments to ITZ soundscape – less muffled for some sounds / certain sound effects (mainly UI and baller/ball sounds) will cut through more, ping pong delay
- Dunk SFX a bit more subtle, new sounds for explosions
- Perfect shot ignite sounds + Perfect shot Rim SFX implemented

Player Specific Changes
- Improved attributes for Trae Young and DJ
- Reduced start up animation on DJ’s jumpshot to be more in line with other players
- Fixed issue with Zion’s dunk where the ball didn’t visually go through the hoop
- Steph now uses correct dunk at long range
- Polished animations for Giannis, El Gigante and Wemby blocks
- Improved LeBron idle
- Fixed bug that lists Bobbito’s ITZ ability as Ankle Breaker but in game he is assigned as Deep Threat, game and UI now match, he is Ankle Breaker
- Improved Street Legend / IP Character attributes to make them more viable players / opponents
- Player attribute updates based on player feedback – Cade, SGA, Bam, Brunson and Wemby
Gameplay Changes
- Increased nearby defenders effect on jumpshots to make shooting in traffic more difficult
- Tuned delays for Guard and Protect Ball abilities
- Tuning pass on XP & CRED rewards
- Kamikaze dunk ending no longer flips
- Add Icon / Targeted player switching in KO Solos Defense. Uses L1 + X or O as input for intended targets.
- Reduced stealer movement speed and increased energy cost for steal to balance based on community feedback
- Reduced near hoop radius for block to increase chances of high skill goaltending
- Increased odds of OTH, extended range of OTH, reduced errant OTH loose ball distance
- Tuned rim bounce to avoid ball landing on top of the backboard
- Added 2 Good Shot outcomes to increase variety and make the outcome less predictable
Visual Changes
- Hit reactions look less cartoony now
- Polished shove recoil animation set
- Polished run animations for big / large players
- Updating fallback meshes of the apartment walls in Tenement to fix gaps around windows
- Fixed lighting channels on ball in Intros
Ruleset Changes
- Oop City and Dunkfest rulesets are now set to Rare
- Pickup ruleset now set to Common
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue with softlocking that was being caused by players simultaneously forfeiting a match
- Fixed issue where players could start a new ability / animation while in ankle break animation
- Prevent button inputs during loading screen transitions
- Fixed issue where players can move around during Intro & Outro Sequences
- Fixed player stats system crash when party data is missing
- Fixed map randomization crash when both team’s party data is missing
- Fix issues w/ Bobbito’s shorts in Intros to remove material overrides / visual glitches
- Fix for tooltips in Matchmaking appearing below the 16:9 space on 16:10 monitors
- Fix for French / German text in the locker
User Interface Changes
- Hide ready checkmarks in the Front End for AI / Bots
- Clear baller portrait highlights when showing the carousel to prevent multiple highlights being shown
- Fill Teammates option no longer enabled if switching from KO Friends
- Removed outdated unblock button
- Fixed issue where players were getting PBP-004 error during the matchmaking carousel after queuing into KO Friends with fill with previous crewmates
- Fix case clicking off a button on PC with mouse once selected breaking navigation with cursor keys
- Fixed issue where Fill Teammates was enabled in Solos, game now checks state for Fill Teammates in all modes
- Hide Crew invite notification if the invite has been responded to in the Social Hub
- Several fixes to Social Hub scroll bar and issues around the mouse cursor interfering with other controls
- Disable actions in home screen until loading completes
- Prevent character changes occurring visually when in the Profile Screen
- Fixed issue where Ready status wasn’t updating when switching Game Modes
- Refresh the KO Friends code when returning from a Match
Stats Updates
- Corrected stat calculation for most played character time
- Time played now reflected in HH:MM:SS rather than seconds to make Time Played more clear in Profile Menu
- Treat blocked dunks / alley oops the same as failed dunks / alley oops, and don’t score them as dunks / alley oops
- Credit steal / intercept only if the play results in a turnover
- Putbacks no longer count as Alley Oops
- Don’t increment rebound stat for throw-in pick up
Audio Updates
- Removed the logic for ShotMade UI sounds from the HypeMeter widget and moving it to when scores occur to allow for for Dunk specific UI sounds
- Far shots and non-dunk shots now trigger the respective UI sfx events
- The existing “Dunk_Success” (called already in the Dunk + AlleyOop ability) audio has the UI sounds in that event now
- New Dunk fades happen in BP_AudioSetup, taping into Dunk Start and Dunk End events
- New audio created and implemented for style / dribble moves
- Bigger dunk sounds, will duck music + other sfx for it
- Updated shot made UI sounds to have built in delays (removing it from the animations in order to use data on which type of shot)
- Style moves and Dunk UI sounds
- Music slowdown event for Alley Oop
- Added Bobbito VO hooks for time running out as the game clock winds down
Other Updates
