Episode #335 of the NLSC Podcast is out now! Derek (aka Dee4Three) and I are your hosts for this week’s show.
The NBA 2K21 Current Gen trailer has given us something to really sink our teeth into this week. We share our thoughts on what we saw, and touch on some of the community reactions. A glimpse of the new Shot Meter and recent comments by Beluba also inspire us to once again discuss shooting mechanics. Meanwhile, remarks by 2K’s CEO have continued to stir up controversy regarding the Next Gen price increase. We have a few things to say on the matter, along with our subsequent expectations for Next Gen. With the NBA Live 16 servers shutting down, we also encourage everyone to wrap up their business ASAP, and take some time to reflect on the game.

Dont worry Andrew its not just a boomer thing lol the neighborhood is something completely unneeded in a basketball game other then a cash grab for the suits lol
I was just saying this today with a developer, the gameplay has gone down hill ever since the neighborhoods implementation yet there are some people asking for more. More houses to buy, let me decorate my loft let me drive to games. I think these people are confused and should go play the sims for that
Glad to know it’s not just us!
I completely agree. That stuff isn’t related to basketball, and the more focus that’s placed on that, the less focus goes into the on-court product.
Thank you for the podcast! Bad developments in my country (Belarus) (still ongoing, though( 🙁 stopped my listening in the middle of summer but I’m slowly catching up with missed episodes.
I fired up Live 16 yesterday. I can’t get into the PRO-AM even offline, no Big Time moments, LUT, more. I had several billions of unspent green currency on clothing and sneakers I didn’t like. Gold coins for player upgrades apparently are no longer valid, though. I’m at 93. 🙂
Hope everything is OK! I’m glad we can provide some entertainment in tough times.
I started listening to podcasts for a decent while again. It’s a distraction. Yours is just the longest among many I’m subscribed to, so it is being handled the last: even at an x1,5 speed, an episode takes a pair of hours to consume. The podcast is top notch, though. Many in the media circles have been saying for years that almost every entity / personality had gotten one. Time is limited. 🙁
We definitely do go for a long time! Funnily enough, the one we just posted is our shortest yet, at least since Derek and I started recording together.
