Looking forward to hearing your take on the current development with EA SPORTS NBA LIVE. The most anticipated podcast of the week for me. I am up and listening from Los Angeles, CA.

Listening to the show now at work. I can hear the pain and disappointment in Ben’s voice and I obviously don’t blame him. I actually agree with him in that I’d rather EA skip 17 altogether and spend the even more additional time to work on a timely release of 18. But anyhow, sad week for basketball gamers unless you’re a 2K dickrider.

I get saying you’d rather them take the extra time but come one. How much more slack will they be given. Yes they need to take time to make the product better overall but at the same time how many times are they going to kill the good faith of their fans. Every year its some form or another type of disappointment from EA regarding live. The blame isn’t all on the developers it on EA as a whole. They’d never allow something like this to happen with Madden.

EA had a very good platform to build off on with Live 16 especially the pro am. I can’t believe what’s going on with live 17.

I honestly think that the delay is so that they put out nba live 17 on next gen, ps5 etc at full price

There will be no next gen (PS5) etc by the time live 17 or 18 for the matter is released. What would make you think that another new gen is coming anytime soon. The closest thing to it will be Nintendo’s NX or whatever they call it but that is more catching up with the power of the PS4 and Xbox one.

Sorry ps4.5 is expected to be released in the fall of 2017 so all EA have to do is put back the date again and announce that they will skip live 17 and come out around sept on next gen

PS4.5 isn’t considered a next gen it’s just an update to and existing console with a few upgrades. This has happened the last few generations like ps3/ps3 slim. But I doubt they’d delay a release for a slightly new version of the same platform.

But yet people will flock to buy it and it’s over priced games, myself included and that way EA can release a game on it at full price.

If EA is going to sell Live 17 at full price it has nothing to do with the new consoles. Since most the potential sells would come from those who already have the existing consoles. The ps4.5 is not a new generation and therefore the games there aren’t exclusive to that system. You have to realize that even when the ps4.5 launches the games since it is not truly a new generation its games won’t have a new pricing system.
