Episode #265 of the NLSC Podcast is out now! Join Arcane and I as we discuss the official updates for NBA Live 19, online play in NBA 2K19, and recent NBA news.

On this week’s show…

  • EA Sports has been pushing through patches for NBA Live 19 on a weekly basis, but the community is growing a little frustrated with the lack of adjustments to gameplay and game modes. Could the updates for NBA Live 19 stand to be more substantial?
  • The NLSC crew had more fun playing The Playground than the Jordan Rec Center in NBA 2K19 this week. We were glad to have some fun hooping together online, but we’re still disappointed in the new approach to NBA 2K’s Pro-Am modes.
  • Speaking of online play, could NBA Live and NBA 2K be doing more to reward good teamwork and punish bad sportsmanship?
  • We wrap up Episode #265 of the NLSC Podcast with this week’s NBA discussion. Topics include Kyrie Irving’s post-game outburst, a trade for Jimmy Butler, and Carmelo Anthony’s future.

Great show guys, iam honestly not a fan of the way both games are heading focusing on online play rather offline and the NBA side off things which is what I’ve being buying there games since 95 for.

I think my only gripe I have with Live is that they seem to be spending so much time adding content for the one mode and then updating the likeness of players that already have a good enough render while you have Boban looking more like a bank manager than a Bond Villian when he’s been in the league for years now, I can let them off with Allonzo Trier due to the fact that he’s an undrafted rookie but it still annoyed me to see so much content put into the non nba side of things. With that being said iam still happy I bought Live over 2k again this year as the gameplay for 2k still has its own issues and forever changing slider adjustments needed for me to enjoy the game on a weekly basis but my biggest fear for 2k is they are heading down the slippy slope of greed and I’d hate to see them go through anything that the Live team did when they started to let things slip back in the day.

Weighting in on the Kyrie Vs Murray situation, like Ben quoted Jalen Rose who tweeted “if you have a problem with him shooting then you should of guarded him for the other 48 points, I should know”

Sure it’s an unwritten rule to dribble out the clock bit like you said Andrew he didn’t drive to the basket in the dying seconds.
