Jao, if you rewatch the heat vs okc clip, rest of heat players run back before the shot even goes up as benji stated. In my humble in opinion, it is a glitch and not something that the developers coded in to replicate the NBA teams behavior on offense. When Battier gets the ball on that same possession, he kinda pump fakes and hop steps to the left without taking a dribble. Now is this also part of the game since NBA refs miss carry and travels in real life? I think the game missed the call/violation while the a.i. didn’t and registered this as a turnover, hence the reason why the players ran back before the shot even went up.

Great show guys. 🙂

I must admit I do share Jon’s optimism as far as NBA Live having potential; bits and pieces that are promising and could be put to good use, if only they could be developed and polished. It may be that NBA Live 14 is the strong comeback and whether or not that was the original plan, perhaps that is the plan now. We’ll have to see how things turn out, but I expect we’ll see NBA Live 13 in some form and that the franchise will continue. Giving up on the current generation and trying to get off to a strong start on the next is an interesting theory, though.

With it being a digital release, I’m wondering if anyone who does buy it and provides feedback would be eligible for some kind of discount, rebate or boost with NBA Live 14. With NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, anyone who bought the disc based NBA Jam released in 2010 and had a save file on their hard drive received a “Welcome back” gift of a level boost and Jam Bucks to unlock some content right away. Perhaps they could offer something similar with NBA Live 14, a “thanks for giving us a try and helping us shape the game” type of deal.

Great analysis of all the latest 2K news, too. At least on that side of things, we’re getting some details that we can sink our teeth into.
