Here are some more file additions for NBA 2K13 for you to enjoy before the weekend is out. Today’s new and updated files from the community include new faces for Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade, retro faces for Allen Iverson, another fictional PBA jersey and two retro arenas for the Phoenix Suns. A new official roster update for NBA 2K13 has come through, containing lineups that have been updated through March 23rd, 2013. The latest roster updates the injury status of several players including Tony Parker and Pau Gasol, but does not include any ratings changes. Additionally, several players are still missing, Alvin Gentry is still coaching the Suns and Thomas Robinson’s jersey number remains uncorrected.

The update will come through automatically as long as your PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or Wii U is connected to the Internet. I’ve also added the latest roster and online data files to our offline update pack, for PC users who wish to manually update their game.

Here are the latest file additions for NBA 2K13 to enhance your gaming experience this weekend. Today we have another fictional PBA jersey, new shoes for Kevin Durant, a Dwyane Wade face update, a jersey pack for the Philadelphia 76ers and a demo version of the NBA Forever mod. Welcome to another Friday here at the NLSC and as such, a new edition of The Friday Five! If you haven’t checked out The Friday Five before, this is a weekly feature that I post on Fridays in which I discuss a variety of topics related to basketball video games, the real NBA and other areas of interest, either as a list of five items or in Top 5 countdown format.

This week, I’m picking my Top 5 Favourite Basketball Video Games. Please note that this is not intended to be an objective list of the five best basketball video games that we’ve ever seen; that’s another list entirely and a topic for another day. While I do feel that all of these games are quality titles (at least for the time they were released) this is definitely a subjective list, featuring the games that I’ve enjoyed the most and/or spent the most time with over the years.

• Leftos brings up an incident at PyCon, leading us to talk about inappropriate behaviour and the appropriate way to deal with it.
• As the discussion moves to basketball video games, we briefly touch upon what is “sim” and what constitutes “realism”.
• Are we PC users jealous of features that are console exclusive?
• We speculate a little more about next gen basketball games and reflect on whether NBA Live and NBA 2K met their CGI benchmarks from 2005.

Here are the latest releases for NBA Live 06 from Dc311. Today’s additions are conversions of Hiiipower’s 2012/2013 court updates for the Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers, originally made for NBA Live 08. Look out for them in the upcoming rosters, but get them into your game today by downloading them at the links below. As I mentioned in yesterday’s additions for NBA Live 2005, you should notice an obvious improvement with the Cavs’ court as the one I’ve been using in the roster updates has a couple of texture errors, while this conversion is spot on.

You’ll definitely notice a huge improvement with this new Cavs court, as the one I’ve been using in the rosters so far has a couple of texture errors while this one is spot on. The March 16th official roster update for NBA 2K13 has now come through for the PC version, so I’ve been able to update our offline pack accordingly. If you’d like to manually update the rosters in your copy of NBA 2K13 PC, download the pack and extract the included files to your Online Data and Saves folders. For those who are updating their game automatically, you can of course let the latest rosters come through the next time you fire up NBA 2K13.

As previously noted, the latest roster contains some updates to a few players’ ratings and injury status. Some players and a few recent transactions are missing however, along with interim Suns coach Lindsey Hunter.
