NBA 2K24 PC Highlights: Celtics vs. Knicks & Ball Brothers

NBA 2K24 PC Highlights: Celtics vs. Knicks & Ball Brothers

With the focus being placed on the PlayStation 5/Xbox Series X|S release, we didn’t learn much about the PC version of NBA 2K24 during the preview season. As it turns out, there was some good news, as the game has native mod support this year. It’s also quite solid on the sticks, as you’ll hear Dee and I discuss in the next episode of the NLSC Podcast.

Before that drops however, we can show you what the gameplay in NBA 2K24 PC is like! Dee has uploaded two highlight reels to our YouTube channel, with the first coming from a game he played against the CPU, using his Boston Celtics to take on the New York Knicks. It spotlights the footplanting and player movement – two positive attributes that we discuss on the show – as well as a variety of highlight plays.

The second video is from a Play With Friends Online game between me and Dee. In this head-to-head showdown, I took control of the Chicago Bulls, while Dee used the Charlotte Hornets, setting up a battle between Lonzo Ball and LaMelo Ball. The Big Baller Brothers had their moments, but Zach LaVine ended up stealing the show in what was a fun battle from start to finish!

You can check out both highlight reels below. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more basketball gaming content, and as always, let us know what you’d like to see us play. There’ll obviously be more NBA 2K24 videos moving forward, but we’ll still be dipping into our collection to play old favourites as well, so please feel free to hit us up with any suggestions.

NBA Live 18 Highlights: Lakers vs. Spurs

NBA Live 18 Highlights: Lakers vs. Spurs

Dee and I have connected on a variety of games over the past couple of weeks, as we’ll discuss in the next episode of the NLSC Podcast. In the meantime, you can see how one of those contests went down, as Dee put together the highlights from our NBA Live 18 game.

In the game, Dee and I took control of the Los Angeles Lakers for a co-op clash against the San Antonio Spurs. Dee suggested those teams as the pre-LeBron James, rookie Lonzo Ball Lakers are not usually a team we’d use, while the Spurs also had an unfamiliar look, having entered the post-Tim Duncan era. It proved to be a fun matchup that went right down to the wire! Along the way, we were able to create several highlights, which reminded us that while NBA Live 18 was a rough release in many ways, it can still be quite enjoyable. See for yourself!

We’re frequently uploading highlights from our co-op and individual basketball gaming sessions to the NLSC YouTube channel, in addition to the weekly Top 10 Plays, video essays, and more, so be sure to subscribe! As always, also feel free to hit us up with any suggestions of games that you’d like to see us play.

NBA 2K22 Screenshots: Luka Doncic, Offseason Moves

Although news is running slightly behind schedule, the official NBA 2K Twitter account has been posting some NBA 2K22 screenshots. The latest screens spotlight some of the recent offseason moves.

Specifically, you’ll find Russell Westbrook wearing his new Los Angeles Lakers jersey. DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball can be seen wearing Chicago Bulls garb, while Kemba Walker is sporting the New York Knicks’ uniform. A screenshot of Kyle Lowry in his new Miami Heat jersey has also been shared.

Additionally, 2K has posted another screenshot of cover player Luka Doncic, which also shows off the new Wilson basketball. Check out all of the screenshots below, and feel free to add your thoughts in the comments! You can also join in the conversation taking place in our NBA 2K22 Forum.

New NBA 2K18 Screenshots & Ratings; Interviews

NBA 2K18: Stephen Curry & Kevin Durant

A few more NBA 2K18 screenshots have been released, featuring Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Markelle Fultz, and Lonzo Ball. As such, we also have confirmation of their ratings, at least out of the box:

  • Kevin Durant: 96 Overall
  • Steph Curry: 94 Overall
  • Markelle Fultz: 80 Overall
  • Lonzo Ball: 80 Overall

With Durant’s overall rating of 96, it’ll be interesting to see if LeBron James equals or surpasses that mark in the default rosters. As noted by Yahoo! Sports, Fultz and Ball’s overall ratings are the highest for rookies since John Wall was an 81 Overall in the default rosters of NBA 2K11. Check out the screenshots below, or here in our NBA 2K18 gallery.

Dave DuFour recently chatted to Chris “LD2K” Manning on his podcast, On the NBA. LD2K wasn’t at liberty to reveal too much at this time, but he did mention that defense is a priority in terms of gameplay improvements this year. He also noted MyPLAYER Archetypes will be receiving some attention. By referencing MyPARK, LD2K also squashed an odd rumour about MyPARK being cut, which seemed highly unlikely given that it’s the most popular online mode in NBA 2K.

Daily Star also spoke to Erick Boenisch in the wake of last week’s developer blog on MyLEAGUE and MyGM. Erick reiterated the team’s commitment to the franchise experience, and notably described the MyGM story as a “light-hearted jaunt”. He mentions that the story will continue every few games, and doesn’t overwhelm gamers with narrative-based decisions.

Check out the latest screenshots and interviews, and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below. You can also join in the discussion taking place in our NBA 2K18 Forum.
