NLSC Podcast #348: Growing Older All The Time

NLSC Podcast Logo

Episode #348 of the NLSC Podcast is out now! Derek (aka Dee4Three) and I are your hosts for this week’s show.

Patch 1.05 is the fourth update for NBA 2K21 Current Gen since it was released, leading us to reflect on the game’s post-release support, and a major issue that still hasn’t been fixed. In NBA 2K21 Next Gen news, this week we learned about The City in MyCAREER, and the revamped franchise experience in MyNBA. The City brings to mind certain lyrics from Goldfinger’s “Superman” as far as our reactions to it, but we like what we hear when it comes to the replacement for MyLEAGUE, MyGM, and MyLEAGUE Online. That leads us to touch upon the impact of former community members now working at Visual Concepts, and some of the troubling attitudes towards them. Finally, the mailbag is back! We answer a couple of questions about the state of NBA Live, and the need for dedicated Community Managers.

NLSC Podcast #347: Next Gen Gets The W

Episode #347 of the NLSC Podcast is out now! Derek (aka Dee4Three) and I are your hosts for this week’s show.

As the release of NBA 2K21 Next Gen rapidly approaches, we’ve had our first glimpse of raw gameplay, accompanied by developer commentary. We give our thoughts on what we saw and what we hope to see, and note that there are some things that only hands-on experience will tell us. Full details on the expanded WNBA content have also been revealed, and it sounds like NBA 2K21 Next Gen will be making good use of the WNBA license. We also talk about the Next Gen Kobe Bryant screenshot that was released, as well as the worst basketball games of the 8-bit and 16-bit era.

With that being said, do you have any suggestions for us? Post them in the comments section below, or in this thread in the Forum. You can also hit us up with your suggestions via our Facebook and Twitter. If you haven’t connected with us there yet, now’s as good a time as any!

NLSC Podcast Episode #181 Mailbag Call

NLSC Podcast

It’s been a while since we’ve put out a call for topic suggestions and mailbag questions for the NLSC Podcast. However, since there hasn’t been a lot of news this week, we do have some room on the docket. As such, if there’s anything you’d like to hear us talk about in Episode #181 of the Podcast, please let us know.

Just a reminder, while we will consider any and all suggestions, we would prefer to keep the show centred on our core content and related topics. That means NBA Live, NBA 2K, and basketball gaming in general, as well as modding, the real NBA, and community-related topics.

With that being said…is there anything in particular you’d like to hear us talk about this week? If so, let us know in the comments section below, or post your suggestions in this thread in the Forum. You can also hit us up with any suggestions via our Facebook and Twitter; be sure to connect with us there, if you haven’t already.

As always, a big thank you to everyone who continues to tune into the NLSC Podcast every week. NLSC Podcast Episode #171 Mailbag Call

NLSC Podcast

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, our digital broadcasting streak is set to continue this week with Episode #171 of the NLSC Podcast! With the NBA 2K17 preview season being so slow, there’s plenty of room on the docket for topic suggestions and mailbag questions.

As such, is there anything you’d like to hear us discuss on this week’s episode? We’ll certainly consider any and all suggestions, though we do ask that you try to keep them along the lines of our core content (NBA Live, NBA 2K, and basketball gaming), community related topics and activities (site history, modding), and real basketball. After all, that’s what most people are coming to the NLSC for, and based on previous suggestions, what most people want to hear us discuss.

With that being said, if you do have any topic suggestions or mailbag questions for us this week, be sure to post them in the comments section below, as well as in this thread in the NLSC Hub section of the Forum. You can also hit us up with any suggestions via our Facebook and Twitter; be sure to connect with us there, if you haven’t already!

NLSC Podcast Episode #167 Mailbag Call

NLSC Podcast

It’s that time of the year when news is a little slow as we’re still at least a few weeks away from getting interesting details on NBA 2K17, and player movement has slowed down after the initial burst of free agent signings. Nevertheless, we do have a few things to talk about in this week’s NLSC Podcast, including new rosters for NBA Live 16, and what we’ve been up to in 2K Pro-Am.

That definitely leaves room on the docket to cover other topics though, so as usual, I’m putting out a call for any and all topic suggestions and mailbag questions. As always, we’ll consider any suggestions that are made, but we would prefer to focus on topics that are related to our core content (NBA Live, NBA 2K, and basketball video games), our community, modding, and the real NBA. We figure that’s the content that most people come to the NLSC for, so it’ll make for the most relevant discussion on the Podcast.

With that being said…is there anything you’d like to hear us talk about this week? If so, let us know in the comments section below, or post in this thread in the NLSC Hub section of the Forum. You can also hit us up with any suggestions via our Facebook and Twitter; be sure to connect with us there, if you haven’t already.

Episode #167 of the NLSC Podcast should be released at the regular time this week, so stay tuned! As always, a huge thanks to everyone who continues to tune in regularly, and send in topic suggestions. It’s great to know that people are enjoying the show! NLSC Podcast Episode #166 Mailbag Call

NLSC Podcast

With every getting back to normal after our server move, Episode #166 of the NLSC Podcast should be out at the regular time this week. As such, I’m putting out an early call for any and all topic suggestions and mailbag questions for the next show.

We’ll have our regular chatter about our past week of basketball gaming, as well as the latest offseason news – including Kevin Durant’s big decision – but there’s definitely room on the docket for more topics. If there’s something you’d like to hear us talk about that’s related to NBA Live, NBA 2K, basketball gaming in general, the real NBA, or the community, please let us know! We will consider other topics, but generally speaking, we would prefer to keep the show centred around our core content.

Having said that, if you have any suggestions, please hit us up in the comments section below, or in this thread in the NLSC Hub section of the Forum. You can also contact us via our Facebook and Twitter; if you haven’t connected with us on social media yet, now’s as good a time as any to hit those Like and Follow buttons.

NLSC Podcast Episode #163 Mailbag Call

NLSC Podcast

Man, it feels like the days and weeks are just flying by this year! As such, it’s come time for me to put out a call for any and all topic submissions and mailbag questions for Episode #163 of the NLSC Podcast. We have a couple of topics on the docket already, but there’s definitely room for more, so if there’s anything you’d like to hear us talk about this week, please let us know ASAP.

As usual, I’ll clarify that while we will consider any and all suggestions, we do ask that you try to keep them along the lines of our core content – NBA Live, NBA 2K, and basketball video games – as well as related areas of interest such as the NBA and real basketball, our modding community, and site history. We figure those are the common interests that most of us share, but if you do have any other suggestions, please let us know. The worst that’ll happen is that we’ll tell you we don’t really have anything to say about it!

Having said that, do you have any topics in mind for this week’s NLSC Podcast? If so, let us have them in the comments section below, or in this thread in the NLSC Hub section of the Forum. You can also hit us up via our Facebook and Twitter; if you haven’t connected with us on social media yet, now’s as good a time as any.

As always, I want to thank you for your continued support and interest in the NLSC Podcast, which has steadily increased in recent weeks. Stay tuned for Episode #163, coming your way very soon.

NLSC Podcast Episode #162 Mailbag Call

NLSC Podcast

This is a last call for any and all topic suggestions and mailbag questions for Episode #162 of the NLSC Podcast! We’ll be recording the show a day earlier this week, so if there’s anything specific that you’d like us to talk about in the next episode, please let us know ASAP!

As usual, we ask that you try to keep suggestions along the lines of our core content and other subjects that are relevant to our community: NBA Live, NBA 2K, and basketball gaming in general, the real NBA, modding, and site history. We will give consideration to other topics, but we figure that most people come here for basketball gaming content, and those other related topics tend to be the most common interests that we all share. We’d also like to avoid covering the same topics too often – unless there’s a new and interesting development, of course – so you might want to glance back in the archives if you’ve missed some recent shows.

With that said…do you have any suggestions? If so, please let us know in the comments section below, or in this thread in the NLSC Hub section of the Forum. You can also submit topics and questions via our Facebook and Twitter; be sure to connect with us on social media if you haven’t already.

As always, a huge thank you to everyone who continues to tune in every week, and show interest in the NLSC Podcast through feedback and topic suggestions. It seems a few more of you are tuning in as of late, so we hope that you’re enjoying listening to the shows as much as we enjoy recording them! If you haven’t caught Episode #161 yet, tune in here. Don’t forget that you can also subscribe to the NLSC Podcast on iTunes, as well as find us on Stitcher if you’d like to listen to the shows on your mobile or tablet devices.
