NBA Live 19 Patch 1.12 Released; New Store Content

October 31st The One Store Update in NBA Live 19

NBA Live 19 has received a new official patch (1.12) on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will come through as long as your console is connected to the Internet, but if you encounter any difficulties, try restarting or checking for the update manually.

No official patch notes have been released as yet, but it appears that it’s mainly a content update. New gear has been added to The One Store, including Halloween-themed items. The update history on PlayStation 4 also contains the usual generic note about minor bug fixes.

If any further information is released then I’ll be sure to post it. In the meantime, I’ve updated the NBA Live 19 patch history in our Wiki. Feel free to share any thoughts and impressions in the comments section below, as well as in this topic in the NLSC Forum.

NBA Live 19 September 12th Content Update Details

September 12th Content Update for NBA Live 19

The development team has provided a detailed breakdown of what was included in the September 12th content update for NBA Live 19. This update is pushed through automatically in-game, as long as your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One is connected to the Internet.

In addition to updating both the NBA and WNBA rosters with the latest player movement, it also fixes the jersey names for a couple of players, correct jersey numbers and WNBA dunk packages, fixes some objectives, and tunes the rules for Court Battles. Uniforms will now also rotate at various World Tour venues.

The team also mentions that next week they’ll be providing information about what to expect from an upcoming title update. Unlike content updates which are pushed through in-game, title updates come through via the dashboard of your console, and tend to be much larger. For those who are unaware, we’re maintaining an update history for NBA Live 19, which you can find here in our Wiki.

NBA Live 19 Demo Update, Ultimate Team Info, Featured Courts

NBA Live 19 Demo

A patch has come through for the NBA Live 19 demo. As yet there are no patch notes explaining what’s been addressed in the update, but presumably it includes minor fixes and tweaks. It may also accommodate some of the new content that’s being pushed through in regards to LIVE Events. We’ll be sure to post any details if and when they become available.

In the meantime, the official website has provided a few snippets on Ultimate Team. This year’s LUT will present us with information about pack probability, allowing us to make informed decisions about pack odds and whether a particular pack is worth investing in. This includes displaying the chances of drawing items of a certain rating or higher, and grouping players in OVR bands with differing probabilities of pulling players from each band. In short, it seems as though they’re aiming for more transparency.

Finally, with the introduction of One Court creation, EA Sports are looking to spotlight the best community designs in a weekly feature. You can check out the Week 1 courts here.

As always, feel free to discuss the latest developments in the comments below, as well as in the NBA Live 19 section of the NLSC Forum. Be sure to check out the NBA Live 19 demo if you haven’t already, and give my impressions a read here. With the game’s release right around the corner we’ll continue to have plenty of coverage, so stay tuned!

NLSC Podcast – Episode #237

NLSC Podcast Logo

Episode #237 of the NLSC Podcast is out now! Join guest host The X and myself as we discuss the All-Star updates for NBA Live 18, the latest controversies involving NBA 2K18, and the first two days of the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend.

On this week’s show…

  • Since it’s The X’s first time on the NLSC Podcast, we talk a little about his history with basketball video games, as well as his tenure in the community.
  • NBA Live 18 has received some new updates, specifically accurate All-Star jerseys and trade deadline rosters. We’re glad to see the updates coming through a little more quickly.
  • New All-Star Fantasy Challenges have also been added to NBA Live 18 Ultimate Team. We’re liking the latest content, though there’s more we’d like to see added to the mode.
  • An Australian-exclusive Virtual Currency sale has accidentally been advertised worldwide, leading to some unhappy US gamers who weren’t aware of the restrictions on the promotion. 2K’s response to the issue left something to be desired.
  • In honour of the All-Star Weekend, NBA 2K18 offered Double Rep in MyCAREER and the connected modes, but the length of the event, not to mention the timing, could’ve been better.
  • Our Week in Basketball Gaming consisted of a couple of 2K Pro-Am sessions in NBA 2K18 that yielded mixed results, and Fantasy Challenges in NBA Live 18 Ultimate Team.
  • We wrap up Episode #237 of the NLSC Podcast with a recap of the first two days of the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend. We have our gripes, but at the end of the day, we can certainly agree that it is what it is!
